VICE CHAIRMAN
The International Chamber of Agricultural Plantation Industry and Farmer Producer Organization (ICAPIFPO) is a forward looking institution established to transform the agricultural and agri-food landscape through innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development.
Formally incorporated in Sri Lanka under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007, ICAPIFPO was founded with a vision to unlock the country’s vast agricultural potential while addressing critical sector challenges such as low productivity, fragmented value chains, limited market access, and climate related risks.
Sri Lanka possesses a unique combination of fertile soils, diverse agro climatic zones, and rich biodiversity. Despite this, the agricultural sector while employing a significant portion of the population remains under-optimized. ICAPIFPO aims to bridge this gap by enabling a digital and inclusive transformation of agriculture, empowering farmers, entrepreneurs, and rural communities.
To establish a digitally empowered, globally connected, and sustainable agricultural economy that enhances farmer livelihoods, ensures food security, and contributes to national and international development.
